On Sunday, August 14th, Veterinarians International (VI) hosted the New York premiere of When Elephants Were Young at Nova's Ark Project, in Bridgehampton. Guests were compelled to learn about the Asian elephant crisis through the film, which is being released worldwide and is a top best seller on iTunes. Following the film screening, was a panel discussion with the film's Producer/Director Patricia Sims, Dr. Scarlett Magda, founding President of VI, and elephant expert Richard Lair. The panel was moderated by Wildlife Health Authority and Senior Technical Advisor of VI Dr. William B. Karesh. The screening was sponsored by Nova's Ark Project and Mecox Dairy with proceeds benefitting VI's Asian Elephant Vet Care Program.
