On Sunday, August 21st, nearly 300 guests attended the Parrish Art Museum’s third annual Summer Family Party. The event, a benefit to support the Museum’s year-round initiatives, featured informal workshops where children interacted with and learned first-hand from established, practicing artists. Bryan Hunt and Joe Fig led sculpture workshops; Melinda Hackett taught children the art of collage; Paton Miller worked with guests on drawing projects; Amy Pilkington led fabric dying activities; and Christa Maiwald engaged children in the craft of cupcake decorating. Guests enjoyed dinner, including barbeque and kid friendly options, catered by the Golden Pear.
The 2016 Summer Family Party was made possible, in part, by the generous support of MINI Southampton.
