One Thousand Nights and One Night

| August 6, 2014 | Parties

On July 26, 2014, The Byrd Hoffman Water Mill Foundation celebrated its 21st Annual Summer Benefit - One Thousand Nights and One Night: Sleepless Nights of Sheherazade - honoring art patron, Shaikha Paula Al-Sabah.

The evening also presented more than 65 artists from 30 countries who were selected to participate in the five-week International Summer Arts Program under the guidance of Artistic Director Robert Wilson. More than 700 international curators, collectors, artists, and benefactors from the worlds of art, theatre, fashion, architecture and design gathered to explore installations and on-site performances throughout the eight-acre grounds of Water Mill. Artsy also hosted an online preview auction. Significantly, The Watermill Center raised a record setting $2.2 million.
