On May 29th, award-winning fashion editor and New York Times bestselling-author Kate Betts mingled with Garnet Hill shoppers and invited guests over Memorial Day weekend to help officially open the brand’s Bridgehampton retail store for the 2016 summer season. Betts, the former Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar editor and author of Everyday Icon: Michelle Obama and the Power of Style, graciously signed copies of her latest title, My Paris Dream: An Education in Style, Slang and Seduction in the Great City on the Seine. Garnet Hill opened its first ever brick-and-mortar retail door last summer in the center of Bridgehampton’s downtown district. The store offers fans of the 40-year-old catalog and online retailer a “touch and feel” experience of the beautiful and natural Garnet Hill lifestyle products, and features the brand’s bedding and home décor lines, popular among interior designers and customers, as well as an edited set of customer favorites in sleepwear and apparel.
