On Monday, March 10, 2014, Guild Hall hosted their annual Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Awards. The lavish cocktail party and seated dinner was held at Sotheby's, NYC.
This years honorees were: Blythe Danner for the performing arts; Philippe de Montebello for the visual arts; Barbara Walters for literary and media arts and Jo Carole and Ronald S. Lauder for a special award for leadership and philanthropic endeavors.
Guild Hall board president Alec Baldwin was the evening's MC and presenters included Alan Alda and Bob Balaban. Other attendees of the event included Marlo Thomas and Phil Donahue, Chuck Close, and Hilaria Baldwin.
The event's leading sponsor was BankUnited and co-sponsors were Crozier Art Movers and event designer Ovando. Mackenzie-Childs and Ceci-Cela Patisserie NYC were additional gift sponsors.
Guild Hall is a cultural institution in East Hampton, featuring performing arts on the grand theater stage and art exhibits in the exhibition halls. It is a host of the Hamptons International Film Festival and it also conducts educational series, events and shows all through the year and particularly during the summer months.
