Gucci fever has spread to The End thanks to the newly unveiled Gucci at Melet Mercantile. The Italian fashion house will offer Gucci’s pre-fall 2019 Towards Summer capsule collection at vintage dealer Bob Melet’s outpost July 3 to 28. The ready-to-wear and accessories collection is summer-ready thanks to warm-weather fabrics like raffia, silk-linen and cotton. Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele tapped Melet (vintage dealer to set designers, stylists and local luminaries like Cynthia Rowley, Waris Ahluwalia and The Crow’s Nest’s Sean MacPherson) for a capsule collaboration of vintage finds mixed with the season’s most covetable classics. “We isolated interesting pieces that we thought would be a great takeaway from the experience,” says Melet. “I feel fortunate, and I am flattered that they wanted to collaborate.” We expect to see the Gucci-fied beach towels, sun hats and raffia bags on rotation for generations to come. 102 Industrial Road, Montauk, meletmercantile.com
