Farm Party

BY Anna Grazulis | July 17, 2018 | Feature Features

There's no better—or more beautiful—place to host a dinner party than at one of the East End's many bountiful farms.
Bhumi Farms is a sunny spot with an even better cause.

It’s no secret that the East End is home to some of the country’s finest farms and vineyards, full of rich soil and a deep agricultural history. What has remained somewhat secret, though, are the gorgeous plots of land that play host to some of the Hamptons’ most glamorous gatherings of families, friends and businesses. Here, find some of the best gardens, orchards, vineyards and farmlands at which to toast to summer.

Breeze Hill Farm
This hidden North Fork gem disguises itself as just a nostalgic, wooden-shingled farm stand run by crowd favorite Amy Dawn, but venture beyond the farm stand and you’ll find a plentiful apple orchard, which leads into a wildlife preserve of lush greenery and a private beach. Breeze Hill can accommodate parties of all sizes, and though it has a roster of notable caterers (Grace & Grit, Cachi), the farm allows guests the freedom to choose. “What people love most is the customization of it,” says events coordinator Kathleen Illustrato. Orchard Row Dining is a popular choice (Illustrato recommends hosting between early May and October, as it’s when the trees are whitest and fullest), but the property also contains a rustic indoor bar, lounge and speak-easy, as well as a more industrial indoor-outdoor event space for all party needs. 31215 County Road 48, Peconic
