When did your love for entertaining first spark and why?
My grandmother started my love for entertaining from a very young age. She taught me the secret to entertaining and hosting people in your home is to make guests feel comfortable. I love to mix generations and have guests over for dinner, drinks and conversation, especially in the Hamptons during summer.
What do you think is the most important element to a great summer party?
There is nothing more summery and classic than a blue and white table with a beautiful pitcher of sangria. Estée loved the combination of blue and white, and it is a color palette that I grew up with. My ideal summer menu consists of a fresh locally sourced salad, seafood paella and Whispering Angel. Fresh and delicious—perfect for outdoor dining and entertaining.
What do you love most about the Hamptons?
I spend a lot of time in the summer at my family home in the Hamptons. I grew up spending my summers on the beach with my family, and now it’s so special to watch my boys experiencing so many of the same things that I did—bike riding, beach time and family dinners.
Can you share a bit about your wellness regimen in general, as well as any Hamptons-specific vendors you like (i.e., juice spots, yoga, natural healers, etc.)?
When I’m out of the city, I try to take advantage of the outdoors as much as possible. My favorite forms of exercise are beach walks, paddleboarding on Georgica Pond and biking around the back roads. If the weather does not accommodate for outdoor exercise, I try to do Pilates a few times a week. I’ve noticed it really tones my entire body and makes me stronger, but at the same time also relaxes me. It’s a really nice balance that I’ve only been able to find through Pilates. I am a big believer of balance and editing in all aspects of my life, from my brand to my home to my diet and lifestyle.
